A Post in Point Form

I’ve really been trying to sit down and write a blog but there are so many topics in my brain and just not enough hours in the day I thought I would write a blog in point form to give an idea of how crazy life has been here and to hopefully get all these little things dancing on my brain out of it so I can concentrate on what I need to accomplish. Hopefully I’ll be back soon to write quality blogs more often but until then posts in point form will have to suffice.

  • Adam’s top two teeth have broken through his gums and are coming in nicely. He wasn’t fussy or miserable at all.
  • Adam has a jealousy issue we discovered when friends of ours came over to visit with their baby. Adam eventually warmed up to our visitor however it was apparent that he felt threatened and did not like Mommy holding another baby at all.
  • Adam is finally sleeping in to a reasonable hour, he’s now generally getting up between 6am and 8am. It makes for a happier Mommy however I have been spending the hours between 5am and 8am to bury myself in work in my office.
  • Adam has also been going down for afternoon naps which also buys me time to work on the pile of work that needs to be done.
  • I’ve been swamped in work. I’m working on a series of wedding photos I took a week ago and once that is done I have to finish my video for the non-profit organization I volunteer for. I’m also expecting a call for another photo shoot in about 2-3 weeks.
  • I’m returning to work in October. I’ll write a full post about that later.
  • We have a plan finally for Adam’s 1st Birthday. I have the paper for his invitations and somewhere in my crazy life I need to find time to prep them. Thankfully Auntie Amy offered to help and with a bit of bribery I’m sure I could recruit the help of Auntie Andrea and Auntie Robin if I had to. This topic also deserves a full post on its own.
  • I really want to go back to school shopping.
  • I wish I had time to scrapbook right now. I was on a roll 3 weeks ago and until the projects on my plate are done I will not allow myself to scrapbook.
  • If someone tells you that making homemade chicken broth and chicken soup is easy – they are lying to you. It’s not!
  • Jack Layton – leader of the NDP and the official opposition of the Canadian government died of cancer this morning and I have been in shock and saddened all day by it. This was made worse by a wonderful letter he wrote 2 days before his death to the people of Canada.
  • A F3 tornado ripped through one of my favourite places to visit last night – Goderich Ontario. Benmiller Inn took a hit which made me sad as well. It reminds me a lot of the place that Dirty Dancing takes place. I have always wanted to stay there for a weekend however I have not been able to convince Brian to do so.
  • My fridge is making a horrible noise and I am truly scared that it is going to die on us, which seems to be the theme of this year. Things breaking on us.
  • My laptop which was on its last two legs is now on its last leg. The two lines going through the screen have multiplied into 4. However it’s not dead yet Jim.
So there is almost all the topics that are racing through my mind at the moment. My life the past few weeks in point form. Looking at it written down I’m surprised my brain doesn’t explode on a daily basis. Now my brain is telling me I have wasted 24 minutes typing up this blog and answering the phone. 24 minutes I could have spent on my projects however I think this was some much-needed therapy.
